Support Sarah with cremation expenses

I am absolutely devastated by the unexpected loss of my dad, Skip. He passed away Monday, April 12th from medical complications that could not be treated. Doctors in the ICU found a heart blockage as well as a small hemorrhage in his brain. The specialists said that the treatment for each problem conflicts with the other. They couldn't fix one without making the other worse. After a four day fight in the hospital his spirit decided it was just too much to bear.
There are no words to describe the awesome father, friend and family member we have lost. I have so many good memories with him, like riding to kindergarten on the back of his motorcycle, camping in the summer, watching scary movies together, and being captivated by his storytelling. His arsenal of bad jokes was unmatched, and he had such a big heart. I can't imagine this world without him.
My dad made some amazing friends along the way. People that he cared deeply for, and he enjoyed spending time with. He looked forward to hanging out at "the dock" with his buddies, or inviting people over for a get-together. He just liked good times, and looked up to good people.
I'd like to travel to Seattle to make final arrangements for my dad's belongings and I am moving forward with the cremation he wanted. I'm reaching out for support with these unexpected costs because I had to work reduced hours in 2020 due to the pandemic, and we don't have any savings left. The cremation service will not move forward until they receive payment so my goal is $1,000 for the cremation by Friday, April 23rd, 2021. I'm hoping for the additional $1,000 by June 1st, 2021 for the other final arrangements.
I will be in charge of final expenses, and I expect there may be more costs related to his estate, but any funds left over from the cremation will go toward making final arrangements for his belongings, the scattering of his ashes and a celebration of life this summer.
Any donations are appreciated more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Sarah Balliet,
Daughter of Skip Balliet
