Support Sarah's Heart Surgery Recovery
Donation protected
Sarah found out that her heart was enlarged shortly after recovering from a flu mid-February. After quite a few tests, she was rushed to the hospital for a pericardiocentesis to drain almost a full liter of fluid away from her heart. Less than a month later, her chest pain returned and another ER trip revealed that the fluid had returned. This time, there was an emergency surgery to cut a "window" in her pericardium.
Sarah has Long Covid, an autoimmune disease, and that's left her doctors puzzling over her recovery time post-surgery. They're emphasizing that she needs rest more than anything.
But with no remaining paid time off and a growing stack of medical bills, rest is not coming easy. She needs financial support to take at least 2 weeks off work and pay the most urgent medical bills.
Any support is so incredibly helpful as she navigates the challenges of recovery.
Thank you to everyone that has supported and reached out so far.
With love and gratitude,
Elaine, Micaela and Emily
