Support Sara's Fight Against Disability

Hello my name is Sara, known online as Peanut.

I have been unemployed for 2 years while fighting to get disability from the government. A few days ago I was denied again on my appeal. I'll be starting the process to get a lawyer now and appeal before a judge (which is scary). I have a condition called Bertolotti's Syndrome which was agitated by an injury; basically the bottom of my spine is fused to my tailbone and it causes immense debilitating pain. I also have debilitating OCD that keeps me from interacting with the world normally, on top of my chronic pain. I use a cane and am unable to work.

I live in socal, near LA with my partners. My wife is also disabled and unable to work (severe agoraphobia) and our partner has been unemployed since early 2024. Our partner and I have been job searching (I just planned to suffer the extra pain). We've been surviving off mutual aid and help from family but our family is no longer able to help.

I am originally from Texas and would have to move back if we lost our apartment, which is dangerous for me as a trans person trying to survive this administration.

I am raising rent and food money for the entirety of 2025; even if/when my partner finds a job they'll need help keeping us housed and paying bills.

Funds I am raising:

11 months of rent at 3350 (we live outside LA)

11 months of food at 800 a month (feeding 3 people in socal)

11 months of my partners car payment at 536 a month.

~$2000 for the gofundme fees

Anything extra will go towards our electric and internet bills so we can get out of the debt we worked up

surviving this long.
