Support Sarge's Leg Surgery
Donation protected
Hi
I love animals, all animals and it grieves me sorely when they experience abuse or neglect. The reason I am doing a fundraiser is because I met this guy on a busy highway in pain and luckily wasn't struck and killed by speeding cars! But he was injured unable to walk very well with a hurt front leg. There were no homes within miles of his location. So he needs help with his medical care, he has a badly broken leg that will possibly need surgery. I am going to keep him until he is healthy. UPDATE I am posting this updated information to be entirely transparent and have reduced the amount of funds needed for Sarge's recovery because after consulting with an orthopedic dog surgeon and the local vet treating Sarge we have decided to take a conservative wait-and-see approach to treat this injury. Sarge was shot with a .22 and the bullet so damaged his leg repairing it is doubtful. He is responding well to antibiotics and will be reassessed on Monday, July 8th. We are not out of the woods yet and the only other treatment is amputation which will cost around $1000. Thank you for helping me help him. I've named him Sarge, he is so sweet and gentle loves kids and even in the worst pain you can imagine he has never shown a tooth or snarled. He deserves a soft, safe place to land. I need a Foster Home for him. Please help him with a second chance. Thank you so much! Donations can also be made directly to the Tonasket Veterinary Service POB 35, Tonasket WA 98855 or call [phone redacted]. Should there be any excess funds there it will be set up with the local veterinary service that works with our local rescues.
