As I write this message, my eyes are filled with endless tears, and our hearts are breaking. There are no words to fully express the agony and devastation that this unexpected tragedy has caused in both mine and my wife Sarra’s life. We are reaching out for your continued prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time. We also humbly ask for any financial help you can offer as we navigate this overwhelming challenge.
On December 3, 2024, Sarra was rushed to the emergency room due to excruciating pain. Within days, she began losing the ability to walk. After extensive testing, it was discovered that her vertebrae had begun to fracture and compress and CRUSHING her spinal cord , causing intense pain and paralysis from the waist down. Sarra underwent an emergency spinal surgery that was 12hours long with a lot of blood loss causing lots of complications but we were hoping that it would have alleviated the pressure on her spinal cord and preventing permanent paralysis. Unfortunately, the first surgery did not succeed and left her in even more pain, fully paralyzed. A second emergency 9 hour spinal surgery was required, and during this procedure, doctors discovered a large calcified mass that was crushing her spinal cord. Although they successfully removed the mass, Sarra is still partially paralyzed due to the fact of the severity of the crushing of the spinal cord and because of that she will require significant therapy to regain mobility, sensation and relearning how to walk. though we are uncertain how much function she will recover we are hopeful and fully trust god.
As her husband, I have not left her side for for weeks. I have been unable to work, as Sarra requires constant care and attention. The financial strain is overwhelming, and we are asking for your help during this critical time. We don’t know how much longer we can keep up with the mounting costs of care, treatment, and therapy, and we are in desperate need of your support.
For the past 14 years, Sarra has battled a complex and ongoing health journey, enduring nine extensive and painful surgeries by the age of 36. Despite her resilience, the road ahead remains long and filled with difficulty. Currently, Sarra requires extensive treatments and therapy—some of which are not covered by insurance. The financial burden is becoming unbearable, but these treatments are vital for her recovery. In addition, we need to cover the costs of caregivers to ensure she receives the best possible care during her healing process.
We believe in God’s healing grace and trust that, with His help, Sarra will be restored. This is the hardest challenge we’ve ever faced, but we remain hopeful and strong in faith. Your continued prayers, love, and any financial contributions you can make will be a blessing during this difficult journey. She has been a shining beautiful light for many throughout her journey ,always smiling through her pain and spreading kindness and positivity and now I ask of everyone to shine your light upon her and bless her in any way you can and show gods love through you
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. We leave it in God’s hands, knowing that He is with us every step of the way.
God bless you all.
