Support Sarver family medical expenses

Abe and I were expecting our sweet baby boy in June of this year. As we went in for what we thought would be a routine doctor’s appointment we had no idea we would begin a very long and scary journey.

Two months ago I was experiencing slightly less movement from baby and I was sent to the hospital for monitoring, and within 20 minutes I was told that he was not doing well and I would be having an emergency c section a month early. He arrived into the world and was immediately rushed to the NICU where he was intubated and needed to overcome a slew of health issues. I suffered my own complications and had to undergo a blood transfusion. I was unable to see my son for 30 hours as they tried to stabilize me and him which left Abe running between our rooms. As we both healed over the next couple of weeks the NICU team was preparing us to take our miracle baby home another issue surfaced. Avi’s heart rate shot up and would not come back down, he was diagnosed with a heart condition and hypothyroidism we were transferred to a NICU across town with a better cardiac team. After 28 agonizing hours Avi had to be reintubated and they were finally able to stabilize him. Our son has been so strong and has over come so much. After 36 days in the NICU we are finally able to bring our baby home. We are still dealing with medications and doctors appointments for the foreseeable future as we manage his health and conditions. We are so grateful to God for our sweet happy baby boy who is expected to make a full recovery within the next year and to the NICU teams who have saved his life many times over.

After losing our dog earlier this year to a costly operation and Abe being laid off from work we did not anticipate the financial strain we would go through during this pregnancy. As medical bills stack up and medication costs and doctor’s visits arise we would greatly appreciate anyone who wanted to bless our family as we go through this difficult time.
