Support Sasha and Edgell after devastating house fire

This fundraiser has been initiated by Patch Theatre staff (Sasha's colleagues).

On the evening of 22 May 2024, Sasha’s family home in Aldgate SA burnt down. Luckily the residents of the home – Helena, John, Sasha, and Sasha’s fiancé Edgell – are all okay (they were not home at the time of the fire), but their home and all their belongings are gone .

Not only have the family lost everything, for Sasha and Edgell this is their second major loss from a fire. Just before Christmas 2020, Sasha and Edgell lost their tiny home in an electrical fire (Sasha’s dad’s home, on the same property, also burnt down). The couple moved in with Sasha’s mum until they could find a place of their own but, before they could do so, experienced another tragedy. Sasha and Edgell smile through it all, reminding us “we are so lucky to have each other” but we know that a little support would go a long way.

Sasha and Edgell are always the first people to help when it is needed, and they are some of the most positive and generous people we know. But now these incredible humans need your generosity.

It’s hard to imagine the loss of everything. There are the small everyday items that need to be replaced – toothbrushes, socks, jumpers – but there are also many meaningful items that are gone – Sasha and Edgell’s wedding rings, Edgell’s birthday presents that he opened the morning of the fire, and so much more.

Any support given will help Sasha and Edgell regain some of what they lost as they rebuild their lives for a second time.

This fundraiser is initiated and managed by Patch Theatre staff (Sasha's colleagues), who are raising funds to provide Sasha and her family with the support they need to get back on their feet.
