Update: We are eternally grateful for all the support, words of encouragement and financial assistance we have received to help my brother. He is currently in recovery and is back home with his family. My brother will continue to receive medical treatment as the doctors shared that it will be a long recovery.

Our family has recently found itself in a devastating condition with news of my brother, Saul Claudio, who was in a motorcycle accident in the city of Guatemala on 04/17/2025 by another driver under the influence. He worked as a taxi driver, with another passenger who is severely injured. My brother is a family man, a father, uncle, and grandfather, but overall a hard worker who never asks for anything in return and is present during times of need. He is currently undergoing surgery given his broken leg and will be in recovery for a full year, leaving him without the opportunity to provide for his wife, who is currently in chemotherapy. Our family sincerely appreciates any assistance we can receive in order to send him the funds to pay off medical bills, utilities including rent.

Nuestra familia se encuentra actualmente en una situación devastadora tras recibir la noticia de que mi hermano, Saúl Claudio, fue atropellado por otro conductor que estaba bajo los efectos del alcohol mientras él iba en su motocicleta en la ciudad de Guatemala el 17 de abril de 2025. Él trabajaba como taxista y llevaba a un pasajero que también resultó gravemente herido. Mi hermano es un hombre de familia: padre, tío y abuelo, pero, sobre todo, un trabajador incansable que nunca pide nada a cambio y siempre está presente en los momentos difíciles. Actualmente se encuentra en cirugía debido a una fractura en la pierna y estará en recuperación durante un año completo, lo que lo deja sin la posibilidad de mantener a su esposa, quien actualmente está recibiendo quimioterapia. Nuestra familia agradece sinceramente cualquier tipo de ayuda que nos puedan brindar para poder enviarle fondos que le permitan cubrir gastos médicos, servicios básicos, incluyendo el alquiler.
