Hello! My name is Savannah McBride, and I am a freshman at Howard University, majoring in biology with a double minor in chemistry and psychology. I am dedicated to academic excellence, student advocacy, and creating meaningful change in our campus community. That’s why I am running to be a representative for the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) in the Undergraduate Student Assembly (UGSA)!
Howard has given me the opportunity to grow, learn, and connect with an incredible community of future leaders, and I want to make sure that every student in COAS feels heard, supported, and empowered. COAS is the largest school within Howard, home to thousands of students with diverse backgrounds, interests, and aspirations. With such a large student body, it’s easy for some voices to feel unheard, and I want to change that. I am running for this position because I believe every COAS student should feel a true sense of belonging at Howard—whether in the classroom, in student organizations, or throughout campus life. However, to make this happen, I need your help.
Running a successful campaign requires resources—flyers, promotional materials, event planning, and outreach efforts to engage students in meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to us. Your donation will help cover these essential campaign costs, allowing me to effectively reach the student body and share my vision for positive change.
Any amount you can contribute—whether it's $5, $20, or more—brings me closer to making this campaign a success! Even if you can’t donate, sharing this GoFundMe with others would mean the world to me. Your generosity will not just help me run this campaign; it will help uplift student voices and create lasting change at Howard.
Thank you so much for your support! Together, we can make a difference. ✨
