Support Savannah's Family After Tragedy

Donation protected

I decided to put this GoFundMe together for my daughter and her four children because this year has been a year of many heartbreaks and battles for them, and these past couple of weeks have been, unfortunately, the heaviest hit for them.

Being today is the day many of us celebrate the resurrection and the resurrection life given to us, I wanted to reach out for some help, to shine a little hope, prayer, and love for a resurrected new beginning for my daughter and grandbabies.

No, we can't replace all that was lost or stolen, but because of the resurrection power, we can come together with faith, prayer, love, and hope for them to rise above the ashes through what has happened.

Savannah is my middle daughter, just turning 23 this year, raising 4 beautiful children as a single mom.

As I mentioned, for them, this past year was beyond a fair share of heartbreak, setbacks, lessons, and trials.

Savannah recently was able to accomplish getting approved for a cute little apartment for her and her children to call home.

But not before her three-year-old had an accident, crucially injuring her eye and requiring multiple emergency eye surgeries.

Anyone who knows a single-parent family with one child knows it's pretty rough, but having four beautiful children all under the age of 5, yes, it's been rough on her. But even though exhausted, frustrated, and struggling at times, she has always pushed through for her babies.

Savannah was excited to get her federal income tax check to help her finally be able to purchase a vehicle and home for her and her children.

The money came in, and that's exactly what she did. She bought an SUV and got their apartment home.

Due to the hours of her caregiving job, the necessary time needed for her baby girl's eye surgeries, recovery, and many appointments, plus childcare limitations for her other children, Savannah lost her only source of income. However, as a mom does, she had a plan that when she would get her state income tax, she would finally be able to furnish their home and pay a couple of months' rent until her baby healed, and she could steady another job within the childcare availability.

The check finally came, but first, being the beautiful person she is, she thought of the family and friends that lent her money and paid them all back, even helping a little more to some who were going through their own struggles.

She placed some money aside for the furniture she picked out and planned for, to put in their recently new home, to replace just having the two blow-up mattresses and few dishes they were able to afford when they moved in.

She also put money aside for a few months' rent, utility, and living expenses to give her the time she needed to get back on her feet.

Because the bank apps she usually used had issues, they were not available or allowed very, very limited deposits, so she was stuck having it all in cash.

The day she went out, money in hand to make money orders and buy furniture, she placed the cash in a purse.

She usually doesn't carry a purse, so it wasn't something she was used to having on her, but because it was cash, she wanted it safe.

As she was out, she made an urgent bathroom stop at a 7-11. While in the restroom, she sat her purse on the floor beside her. She got up, got in her truck, started to back out, then realized she had left her purse on the bathroom floor.

She frantically ran back into the store, praying her purse was still there, but unfortunately, it was not. She asked the workers and people standing in the store, hoping anyone might have it or seen who might.

Being in panic mode, she noticed two people that acted very, very suspicious and hurried out the doors. So she tried to go find them after they left the store. She didn't see where they went, but there was a bus that had just shut its doors and was pulling away.

She jumped into her truck, followed it to the next stop, parked behind it, and jumped out of her vehicle to run and try to get into the bus to see if the suspicious two were on it. As she got on, she looked around, but the bus driver shut the doors and began to drive away.

Savannah said she pleaded for the driver to stop and let her out, but he told her he could not until the next stop.

The next stop came, she jumped off, running with a ton of emotions, asking everyone for help, not only for her stolen purse but also to help her get back to her truck. She even asked an officer, and he continued without acknowledging her.

As she was making her way back, she noticed her truck speeding off past her at high speed. So she frantically tried to yell for help, then saw the truck hit vehicles, launch into the air, and crash tragically.

She then gave all the details to the first responders of everything as she watched hers and her children's only vehicle be pried open to save the person who stole her vehicle, not only losing every penny her and her children had toward building their home and getting them through the next few months.

We had just celebrated hers and her oldest daughter's birthdays a few days prior, so all she had was what a few family members sent in birthday money through one of the cash apps she was having issues with.

The theft charges were filed, and the insurance claim began, but her theft coverage was limited and will be a long process. The police got surveillance within the store and also told her they're investigating, but being it was cash, the likelihood of her getting any of it back would be slim to none.

This has taken a toll on my daughter tremendously. She's been constantly crying off and on with so many mixed emotions, mostly being grateful she or her children weren't involved or hurt in the accident itself.

As a family, we've been encouraging her, trying to help her in every way we can, but being very limited with our own battles.

Which is why I was hoping to reach out for help through this to anyone, no matter if it's a small donation, furniture, referrals for places to help her, most and above all, lots of prayers. ♥️✝️

Our family thanks you for your time, your prayers, your love, and support in helping my baby and grandbabies get some beauty from ashes in any way we can.

Thank you, God bless ♥️
