We come to you with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to share the story of an extraordinary young man, Sawyer, who is suddenly facing the fight of his life. The day before his daughter’s first birthday, Sawyer received a devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 Metastatic Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer. This cancer has spread to his lungs, adrenal gland, lymph nodes, and bones—a battle no one should endure, especially at just 28 years old.

Sawyer has always been the rock of his family, a devoted husband to Madison (Madi) and proud father to their 1-year-old daughter, Hazel. He has worked hard to provide a life filled with love, laughter, and dreams for their future. Now, his world has been turned upside down.

Today, Sawyer begins his journey with a port installation, and on Christmas Eve, he will start aggressive chemotherapy treatments. While he fights this battle, Madi is preparing to welcome their second child, baby Enzo, in April—a moment that should be filled with joy but is now overshadowed by this diagnosis.
