Support Scott Coplen's Legacy: Memorial LSU Scholarship

Donation protected
On May 18, 2024, Scott Nile Coplen tragically passed away in a fatal traffic accident. In lieu of flowers or gifts, his family has opted to request monetary contributions with the aim of establishing a scholarship in Scott's honor at Louisiana State University, specifically at the E.J. Ourso College of Business, from which he graduated. Scott Coplen not only earned his business degree from LSU but also became an entrepreneur, founding C&H Custom Homes in San Antonio, TX, where he resided.

Known for his exceptional dedication and ambition, Scott devoted endless hours to his work, often even during holidays. Despite his diligence, he allocated funds for personal indulgence only once a year, reserving it for a game at his beloved LSU. While Scott departed LSU as an alumnus, his connection to the institution remained unwavering; he consistently lauded his alma mater, encouraging his nieces and nephews to pursue their higher education there, as he had no spouse or children of his own.

Family held significant importance to Scott, but his dedication to education was equally paramount. He extended support to his nieces by partially funding their college education, conditional upon their academic performance. Scott harbored a fervent desire to continue aiding his nieces and nephews in their pursuit of higher education.

In light of these sentiments, the family aspires to perpetuate Scott's affection for LSU and his commitment to facilitating others' access to college education by establishing a scholarship in his remembrance for students attending Louisiana State University's E.J. Ourso College of Business. By doing so, they aim to honor his enduring allegiance to LSU and his fervor for enabling others to pursue higher education.

The family is sincerely appreciative of any generous contributions toward realizing this goal. Scott Coplen's memory will forever endure in our hearts and minds, having been cherished by many. Geaux Tigers!
