On Saturday, Oct 12th, Scott suffered a massive stroke affecting the left side of his brain. He was treated in the ICU at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for eight days. He also endured a hemicraniectomy to relieve the swelling and pressure on his brain. He is planning to be in a rehab facility for several months.
This has been a gut-wrenching and heart-breaking experience for Ann and Walker as well as for family and friends. Many are already sustaining this amazing family with prayers, texts, calls, meals, help at home, and help with the construction business Scott and Ann run.
Another way we can show our love and support is to make a monetary gift to help with hospital bills, in-patient rehab, and ongoing living expenses for Scott, Ann, and Walker (and their beloved dogs Kimber and Rocket).
Scott is going to need many months of rehab—his stroke is large and has impacted his speech and mobility on his right side. Months three and six will be key in his recovery. Every day brings bright moments of encouragement and hope. God has big plans for Scott and his family, and your gift can help ensure they focus forward on his care and maintain some semblance of normalcy.
Thank you in advance for any gift you can make to help Scott and his family. Please use this site to give generously and share this with others who can help financially, too.
