Support Scott Levin's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Samantha Levin. Firstly, I want to say thank you for taking the time to read our post. Any share or donation is extremely, extremely appreciated!!
My father, Scott Levin, has been disabled since February 2011, due to a car accident that destroyed his spinal cord, while previously employed as a tractor trailer driver. After 3 major surgeries, a decade of procedures/therapy, and one nerve simulator surgically placed in 2019, Scott was able to walk fully without assistance (walker, cane, etc.) and manage the extensive pain he now had to live with.
Unfortunately, one person took the years of progress away in one moment. On Sunday, August 4th, 2024, my father was physically assaulted outside his home. He has been in the hospital ever since this violent attack occurred. Scott has experienced a “shock to the system”, which has resulted in violent back spasms and extensive spinal cord bruising.
Scott is unable to walk on his own at this time and has a long road to recovery, which may not result back to his full capabilities that were once achieved. As of today, August 9th, 2024, Scott has been transferred to a rehab facility to continue his care and start the recovery process.
There is an ongoing investigation into what occurred, in hopes justice will be served. All donations/proceeds will be directed to medical bills and court/lawyer fees.
No person should EVER put their hands on another, especially to cause harm. Please keep Scott and our family in your thoughts during this unpredictable time.
