Support Scott Ritter & Family

My name is Kim. My husband is Matt. Matt & Scott went for a motorcycle ride Friday July 17, 2020. Scott & Matt were riding through rural Wisconsin when a deer emerged from the side of the road jumping into Scott causing him to fall from the motorcycle. Scott was airlifted from the scene and taken to Gunderson Health System Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Scott was placed in a medically induced coma as a means to treat brain trauma in the ICU. Doctors said they generally do not expect a turn toward healing for 3-5 days. There have been promising updates including Scott responding to Ingrid’s voice and reaching out for Cheri’s hand.

Cheri and the girls are maintaining a positive outlook and appreciate the overwhelming show of love and support voiced by everyone. Cheri accepted a position which offered full health insurance for the family in March of 2020 but the start of this position was delayed due to COVID. As a result, the family does NOT currently have health insurance to cover the astounding medical costs associated with the accident.

The last thing anyone wants for the Ritter family is to have the stress of the financial burden on top of the stress of Scott’s recovery. Please donate what you can to help support the Ritter family with expenses associated with this accident.
