Support Scott Turley's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
The Turley's are a family that is near and dear to my heart. If you know them, you know they exhibit a love for the Lord, a servants heart for others, and always a smile for everyone they meet. This is evidenced in their four great kids. Scott has been in a battle with cancer since 2015. Scott was originally diagnosed with stage 4 Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (a rare cancer of the salivary gland) in 2015 and lost his voice box, part of his trachea and a portion of his esophagus. He remained cancer free for almost 2 years but in late 2017 his scans showed metastatic disease of the lungs. Thankfully the lung nodules have been slow growing but it has reached a point where treatment is needed. There is no conventional treatment available at this time for this rare cancer type, so they are seeking non-conventional treatment, which is not covered by insurance. Scott has fought this fight with amazing courage and faith. Through it all, he has continued to work hard and support his family, as Tricia stays home and homeschools their four kids. Their faith in the Lord is strong! He has carried their family through round 1 and we fully trust He will carry them through round 2! They are so thankful for all the AMAZING support of their family, friends and neighbors!
At this time, conventional medicine is offering Scott no options. While he continues to look and feel good, recent scans have shown the cancer has continued to grow. Surgery and radiation are not possible because of the amount of cancerous nodules on his lungs, and his type of cancer is not responding to chemo. Scott is a fighter and willing to do whatever it takes to be here for his family. Scott will be receiving an 8 week non-conventional treatment that is designed to boost his immune system and allow his body to fight the cancer and prayerfully stop the growth of the cancer.
There is also a very encouraging new treatment on the horizon, but it hasn't been released for clinic trials yet and they don't know when it will be available or even if Scott will qualify. Please be in prayer about this possibility.
Please consider donating to meet the immediate needs of their family, including this non-conventional treatment that will not be covered by insurance and will also require a leave of work. Please be in prayer for this family. That they would be of courage and trust in the Lord. That the God of peace would calm their hearts as they trust in Him.
