Support Scott’s Battle With Cancer
Donation protected
Earlier this year Scott was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer that affects the plasma cells in the bone marrow. This devastating news has turned his (+his family’s) world upside down, and he is now facing the toughest battle of his life. We are reaching out to you for help and support during this incredibly challenging time.
Those of you who know Scott know that he has always been the rock for his family and friends. He is a devoted husband, a loving father + grandfather, and a loyal friend who has always been there to lend a helping hand before you even ask for help. At the beginning of the year, after suffering for a month from multiple fractures in his spine with no answers as to how they happened and being left untreated, he was rushed up to Calgary hospital where he was diagnosed with the cancer and stayed for months in attempts to heal his spine.
Multiple myeloma is a complex and aggressive disease that requires extensive treatment, including chemotherapy, medications, and a bone marrow transplant. The treatment journey is not only physically and emotionally exhausting but also financially overwhelming. Being self-employed has left Scott with no assistance adding the extra financial burden and stress. After 9 months of being unable to work all savings have ran out while the out-of-pocket costs for medical bills, medications, travel expenses for treatments, and daily living expenses are mounting rapidly.
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the financial burdens so Scott can solely focus on his battle. Every donation is immensely appreciated. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help us reach as many people as possible. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and messages of encouragement are also greatly appreciated.
Scott is a fighter, and with your support, he can focus on his treatment and recovery without the added stress of financial worries. Let's come together to show Scott that he is not alone in this battle and that he has a community rallying behind him.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, support, and love.
