Support Scott Vogel’s Memorial at NEHS Baseball Field

My name is Marc Gold, and I am raising funds for a memorial for Scott Vogel (1962-2024) at Northeast High School baseball field. Scott was an all-public pitcher at NE and graduated in 1980. Scott was one of the greatest left-handed pitchers to come out of NE and later went on to pitch for the U.S. Naval Academy, where he then graduated from and went on to serve our country before becoming a commercial pilot for nearly 30 years, flying the Boeing 777 and reaching the rank of Captain. Scott was a stand-up guy, great friend, and devoted husband, father and grandfather. I knew Scotty for more than 55 years as we were schoolmates from K through 12 and were teammates on the NEHS baseball team. There are plans for a major renovation for the girl’s softball field and the boy’s baseball field at Northeast High. We are hoping to raise funds to have the new home baseball team’s dugout, or something similar, named in Scott’s honor. Scott is well deserving of this honor, and we hope to make it possible with your generous and much-appreciated donation.
