Support Scotty's Legacy at Morton Arboretum

Scott Ryan "Scotty" Hixson was the writer in the family, so I'm going to do my best to explain why with a place in the Morton Arboretum Memorial Tree program, we can all honor his memory in a way that he would be proud.
My name is Sean Hixson, Scotty's younger brother. Scotty had the biggest heart of anybody I have ever met. I know he is up there regretting to be taken from us so soon at the age of 36. My family and I are devastated by this loss and will miss him every moment for the rest of our lives. Our only hope is that others can find peace in remembering all the good times that you had with Scotty or were inspired by Scotty. As I tearfully write this, I try to talk to him in my heart. I love him so much and I want to do something that would make him happy and also give those who cared about him a place to hold on to that belongs to him.
Scotty had a special connection to the Arboretum. I don't know how else to explain it. Ask anybody. He could be found there (or rather not found) at all hours, and I mean that. Some of you were lucky enough to join him on his many quests.
This brings me to the goal. The Morton Arboretum in Lisle has a tree program where we can select the type of tree and place it in a natural area of the arboretum. There is an engraved message included. The cost of the program is $2,500 and if the tree fails in the first 10 years, they will replace it.
Please join the Friends and Family of Scott Ryan Hixson in reaching this $2,500 goal and honoring Scotty's kind and compassionate soul with a beautiful tree in his memory.
Thank you for your support,
Scotty's little bro
