Support Scouts in Memory of Brandon Chicklis

This year will be our 6th year without Brandon. In honor of his birthday, we will be hiking Mt Watatic at 9AM on July 20, 2024. This will be in celebration of Brandon’s 27th birthday. There is parking on the side street (Old Pierce Rd Ashburnham) by the parking lot if the lot is full.

Any donations collected will go to the Fitchburg Friends of Scouting in memory of Brandon Chicklis. The money will be used for camperships for scouts that cannot afford camp. It may also be used to help pay for high adventure trips and scout fees for scouts that need it. As prices skyrocket, it is getting more difficult for families to afford summer camp and high adventure trips in addition to rising scout fees.

Scouts was always Brandon’s chosen activity during his childhood. I remember the smile he would have leaving for summer camp every year. Scouts helped him and many others develop a love of nature and hiking. Brandon even grew to love camping during the winter. Scouts is the only place that I know of that teach kids how to camp in the cold weather along with other skills. Brandon also developed a love for nature.
