Scrooge's Journey to a Healthy Heart

My name is Jamie and I am raising funds for my puppy, Scrooge. We lost our sweet girl Sissy dog last year to cancer and decided to stay at only two dogs. I happened to see a picture of itty bitty 2-pound Scrooge and NEEDED him. My husband, Jason, got him for me for Christmas, and we kept with our tradition of 'S' names for the pups! I did a lot of research for the best pet insurance and got it! Unfortunately, a heart murmur was found at his first puppy appointment a couple of days before his insurance kicked in.

Scrooge has two issues with his heart, but the major one is pulmonic stenosis, which is a congenital heart defect of the semilunar valve that is between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery (the great vessel that takes blood to the lungs).

With PS, Scrooge can’t run and play like a normal pup, takes meds twice a day, can’t be outside in the heat, can’t go on walks, can’t get neutered, and so much more!

Scrooge is my baby! He is smart, loving and an amazing cuddle bug!

This surgery will help give Scrooge the best life! There are only 2 vets in the area that do the surgery and NC State is the closest. The surgery will be between $5000-10,000 plus travel. Thank you!
