If you know Sean, then you know how creative and lively his spirit is. Sean has been a part of the Birmingham community since he moved here from New York six years ago. Since then, he has brought artistic enthusiasm to the city with his murals and art installations. You only need to drive a few blocks in any direction before one of Sean’s creations comes into view and takes you over. 



Sean has also been at the forefront of bringing intimate live music to Birmingham through his involvement with Sofar Sounds. As a representative for Sofar, Sean has seen the need for a space where artists and locals can share a reciprocal love of creation. Sofar has been integral for public art involvement and its devising is just another way Sean has worked to make art more accessible for everyone in Birmingham.



I consider Sean a brother and a creative inspiration, which is why I know how important it is that we show our support for him right now. We have all been influenced by Sean’s creative spirit during his time in Birmingham, and there are so many parts of our city and world that need Sean’s innovative style. 


A diagnosis like this only adds to the financial weight that living and being an artist can bring, and there is no doubt that Sean is feeling the stresses that come with this prognosis.
