Support Sea-renity Bou-tiki Spa and Body & Sol Wellness AMI
Donation protected
My name is Paige Williamson, Sea-renity Boutique Specialist/Reservationist & Social Media Coordinator, and I am writing on behalf of Amanda Escobio Ryan, Owner of Sea-renity Beach Spa & Boutique and Body & Sol Wellness, located on the barrier island on Florida’s West Coast—Anna Maria Island. Along with so many others, this small business has taken a very large hit with back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton in the month of October, preventing us from opening any of our spa or retail locations (with the exception of a recent temporary space of 1 treatment room—just off the island for massage only).
This has not only caused the loss of business at each of our spa locations, but has also impacted the income of more than a team of 20 staff members (made up of licensed massage & spa therapists, reservationists, & boutique specialists) since the last week of September. Because our therapists, in particular, are contractors, they are struggling to receive unemployment. Those that are able to receive any benefits still are challenged to make ends meet.
Initially, we decided to launch a support/relief campaign, rather than go straight to a GoFundMe page, but sadly, interest has been minimal. We also did an additional email blast this past week to our clients which may be buried (if you are catching up this weekend). Our donation packages are accessible via website www.annamariadayspa.com / gift certs/ buy online as well. The link is provided for quick reference below, Boutiki Boxes. We so appreciate if you could take a second look, maybe for yourself or possibly for an upcoming holiday gift idea (just around the corner). It's a Win-Win!
If you’d like to make a donation & have us include some “surprise island” goodies, simply indicate that in the link’s message field, e.g., “Please Include Goodies” & your mailing address. You do not need to log on to our Vagaro account to make a donation.
We are truly doing our best to stay transparent. We are made up of four unique locations that, TOGETHER, made one small island business. Each was different, and each has sustained significant hurricane damage. Without reopening for the fall season, which appears impossible at this time, our business is certainly deeply impacted.
Despite the common misconceptions, FEMA does not bail out businesses. True, there are government loans available, but we do not wish to go deep into debt and not allow us to dig out while waiting for visitors to return to the island.
In the meantime, we have obtained a temporary massage room, just off the island, offering only ONE of our many spa services. We hope that locals, in particular, could take a much-needed break and support their body, mind, and spirit during this very challenging time. Our “Hurricane Half Off” Deal at a $65 rate would normally cost $130. In turn, we are hoping to support our community, as well as ourselves, during this recovery period. If you aren’t from the area, but would like to donate a massage session to a local first responder, we can also make that happen.
We certainly can’t thank you enough for considering or reconsidering a direct donation to our wellness team here on beautiful Anna Maria Island.
Lastly, in the very words of our owner, “We Are Strong, We Are Salty, & We Aren’t Going Anywhere”…we look very forward to “Sea”-ing you here on AMI very soon!!
