Support Seminarian Abbé Matthew Stancliffe

Dear Friends in Christ,

My name is Abbé Matthew Stancliffe and I am a seminarian with the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. I am starting my first year of theology studies (my fifth year of seminary) this fall at the Institute’s international seminary located just outside of Florence in Italy.

I am the fourth of eight children and my family lives near Kansas City in Missouri where we attend the Institute’s apostolate of Old Saint Patrick’s Oratory. My oldest sister is a religious at the Benedictine Abbey of Mary, Queen of Apostles in Gower, Missouri.

The Institute’s American seminarians are asked to make a monetary contribution each month of $1050. Although no seminarian is ever refused for financial reasons, this monthly contribution is necessary to help defray the costs in the daily running of the seminary i.e. food, lodging, etc. The seminarians also must purchase all necessary items that they need such as clothing, books and personal items as well as paying for their own health insurance and travel expenses. To meet these costs, we rely on the generosity and benevolence of benefactors who will support us during our years at seminary.
