Support Serkan's Final Journey Home

2 years ago, Serkan moved from Diyarbakir to the US with big hopes and dreams of starting a new life and helping his family back in Turkey. He was kind, caring, and dedicated to the people around him. He was planning on getting married to the woman he loved and making his own family in America. On Wednesday, October 16th he was found dead, alone in his car. The autopsy revealed that a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) blocked his lung and resulted in him suffocating to death. This shocked our entire family due to the fact that Serkan was known by everyone as someone who was extremely healthy, he would regularly exercise and was careful about what he ate.

Serkan was our beloved cousin and was loved dearly by everyone in our community. We are his only family in the US, the rest are back in Diyarbakır. So it is our responsibility to bring his remains back home to his family. We are asking for any help that anyone can offer to support us with these expenses so that we can reunite Serkan with his family after 2 years apart.

Serkan, 2 yıl önce, yeni bir hayata başlama ve ailesine Türkiye'de yardım etme konusunda büyük umutlar ve hayallerle, Diyarbakir'dan ABD'ye taşındı. Kibar, şefkatli, ve sürekli sevdiklerini düşünen biriydi. Sevdiği kadınla evlenip Amerika'da kendi ailesini kurmayı planlıyordu. 16 Ekim Çarşamba günü, arabasında tek başına ölü bulundu. Otopsi, bunun akciğer embolisi (akciğerlerindeki kan pıhtısı) nedeniyle boğularak öldüğünü ortaya koydu.

Serkan bizim sevgili kuzenimizdi ve topluluğumuzdaki herkes tarafından çok sevilirdi. ABD'deki tek ailesi biziz, geri kalanı Diyarbakir'da. Bu yüzden, Serkan'ın cenazesini ailesine geri götürmek bizim sorumluluğumuzdur. Serkan'ı ailesiyle yeniden bir araya getirebilmemiz için bu masrafları karşılamak için yardımlarınızı rica ediyoruz.
