Support Shanaya’s family

Hi, my name is Tahnee and I’m Shanaya’s eldest sister. On Wednesday, the 29th of March at around 4am Shanaya was involved in a horrific car accident. She was immediately airlifted to Townsville where we were told she had sustained a few injuries, the main one being a sever head injury. Shanaya underwent surgery after which we were told it was basically touch and go. She’s currently in an induced coma on life support. As most would know things can change in a second with head injuries, but we are remaining positive and are confident our strong girl can pull through. She’s a warrior.

Shanaya is the 5th of 7 siblings and is the baby girl of the family. She has a loving partner and 2 little girls who are her world. Shanaya has always been a bubbly, cheeky, social little firecracker. She has a heart of gold and no matter what will drop everything she’s doing to go and support her family friends in times of need. Well this time she’s the one who needs support.

We typically aren’t the type to ask for help, but right now we need it for her. As we all know the bills don’t stop and in the current climate it’s been hard on everyone. We want to make this Easter as normal as possible for her girls and want to take the pressure off a bit financially for her partner. He hasn’t left her side since the accident and we just want to make sure that when she wakes up they aren’t left with a huge financial burden.
