Support Shane Guilbeau's Fight Against Leukemia

We ask that you not reach out to either of our parents this time, while we give them the space to navigate what is to come.

Hello there - Alexis, Cody, and Brittany here.

As you may have heard - because that Cajun army moves fast - our dad, Shane Guilbeau, was admitted to the hospital earlier this week for what we originally thought was sepsis. On Wednesday, after some tests, the doctor came in and diagnosed him with Leukemia. It was a moment that will forever be seared into my memory. We are awaiting the results to determine exactly what type it is, but it is acute and will require treatment. We will be transferring him to Ochsner Cancer Center in New Orleans in the next couple of days.

While this has come as quite a shock to our entire family, we are encouraged by how far treatment has come and are optimistic that we will find a treatment plan that will give our daddy the best chance to beat this.

In the face of this unexpected journey, we are reaching out to our community for support. The road ahead is uncertain, and while we are hopeful, we also recognize the financial burden this diagnosis brings. Medical treatments, especially for conditions like Leukemia, can be overwhelmingly expensive, and with both our parents unable to work, the impact is even more significant.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help cover the medical expenses, travel costs for treatment, and basic necessities during this challenging time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us focus on what’s most important right now: getting our dad the care he needs and supporting our family through this ordeal.

If you’re able to contribute, please click the donate button. If you’re unable to donate at this time, we understand and ask if you could share our story with others. Your thoughts, prayers, and support mean the world to us and offer us strength.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any assistance you can provide. Together, we hope to climb this mountain, one step at a time.

With gratitude, Alexis, Cody, and Brittany
