Support Shannon Terrell- Hip Surgery Gone Wrong

Hi Friends,

I am sure most of you feel the same way I do about Shannon and Sonya Terrell. To know them is to love them! What some of you may not know is what a difficult situation they have faced over the past several months. Unfortunately, they received more bad news today. That said, they could definitely use our help right now........

On May 31st Shannon went for a scheduled right hip replacement with plans to return to work 4 weeks later. (Which he did) Then on 10/3 he began having complications. He was admitted to the hospital where a hip revision was performed. An infectious disease doctor was consulted and it was determined he would need to have a PICC line placed and 6 weeks of iv antibiotics. (Resulting in another 6 weeks of missed work) Finally, on 11/27 Shannon was able to come back to work!!! This lasted for 2 days. Then on 11/29 he began running fever and his hip incision site began draining. He was admitted to hospital AGAIN on 12/2. He got the news this morning that he will be having another surgery tomorrow. This time they will go in and place a temporary hip which will remain for several months. Then he will once again have surgery to place a permanent hip. The recovery will greatly depend on his progress. However, "IF" everything goes exactly as planned he will be off work "at least" another 6 months.
