Support Shan's Dad: Eaton Fire Took Everything

Hey everyone, Shan here. My dad just lost everything he has in the Eaton fire including car, computer, clothes...he has already been homeless for years and in and out of motels but in recent times had a gracious family that let him stay in a spare room. He is disabled and otherwise can't survive off his own means, and now the one place keeping him off the streets is destroyed. I am raising funds to send to him so he can stay at a motel but this is a big hit and there isn't a true way of recovering when youre poor and disabled with little community.

Thanks everyone who sent the 211 Airbnb resource...unfortunately it won't work because he didnt own the house. It was a host family who let him stay there for free. The host family did apply for the resource but because they also lost everything they can no longer support my dad and he is on his own. The donations will keep him out of the street as long as possible then he will probably be fully homeless. Any resources for homeless shelters when that day comes would be helpful. He will be turning 80 this year.

Also any car leads are good so he can travel between motels and shelters, store his clothing donations so he's not carrying his new belongings on foot, and so he could sleep in car worst case scenario. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, his old car barely worked ...anyone selling their car or have an old family car they don't need anymore?
