Support Shaun's Fight Against Colorectal Cancer

As some of you already know, Shaun was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer with metastasis to the liver. Recently, his health has declined and he needs help now more than ever.

Shaun needs a procedure that could save his life (Histotripsy). He was scheduled to have the procedure on Aug 9, but his insurance denied the procedure, calling it unproven. Histotripsy is new technology so it does not have a lot of data to support it yet. The data that they do have has proven that it is the most beneficial in colorectal cancer with metastasis to the liver. They pulled 15 cases of great results that changed the course of these patients' lives!!

Yet, we are 3 denial appeals in and called for an IRO (independent review from outside Drs who have nothing to do with United Healthcare, Histosonics or Omega Hospital).

Medicare and Medicaid are paying for these procedures already but private insurance is not.

His doctor, Dr. Maluccio, thinks that she can do the liver procedure in 3-5 treatments.

They quoted a cash price of $60,000 per treatment.

We are still fighting the insurance daily.

He needs this procedure now more than ever.
