Support Shawna and Kids After Tragic Loss

Early Sunday morning, January 26th, we lost our beloved Richard Belmonte. He was only 32 years old. He was involved in a tragic accident on his way home from work. A driver traveling the wrong way on Highway 90 in San Antonio caused a head-on collision, taking Richard’s life instantly. His vehicle caught fire, and the extent of the damage has made positive identification of his remains problematic, resulting in the inability for the widow to receive funds that are needed for her family immediately.

Richard was a devoted husband to Shawna and a loving father to Jonathan (10), Hunter (5), Scarlett (3) and their unborn baby. He was the cornerstone of their family and worked tirelessly as a Hazmat truck driver to provide and care for them.

The family is now facing immediate financial hardships, including living expenses, the mortgage payment, car note and funeral expenses as Richard was the sole provider.

We are reaching out to our families, our friends, our community, and compassionate strangers to help Shawna and the children with some financial stability amidst the chaos. As the family, we are trying to keep normality for the children during this time.

Richard touched so may lives in his short time here with the kindest heart, dedication and sense of humor. Quite literally he has been described by many as just a great guy. Let’s come together to support his immediate family as they navigate this profound loss.
