On October 8th, Shawn went to the doctor with pain that he thought could be kidney stones. His doctor ordered a CT scan to see if they could find anything. The next day, our world was turned upside-down when we got the call that there was a mass in his abdomen.......it was cancer. The next morning he had multiple blood draws as well as a biopsy. Five days later, he was diagnosed with a VERY aggressive, fast growing, and rare type of cancer of the white blood cells called Burkitts Lymphoma. He was told he needed to be admitted to the hospital that night to begin chemotherapy and have endless tests done. Shawn has already endured so much since he was admitted on October 16th and will continue to be admitted into the hospital multiple times throughout the next 4 months while they continue his treatment plan.

If you know Shawn, you know he is a go-getter. A do-er. A helper. A "where there is a will, there is a way" type of guy. He's always been one to figure things out on his own and be successful at it! Shawn is not the type of person to ask for help, ever. He's always been the one GIVING help to others! This is where we need YOU and your help!

With Shawn not being able to work for the next 4+ months due to his future treatment plan, we are asking for your help. Having the burden of paying for the extensive medical bills that will soon be piling up, while fighting for your life is not something we want Shawn and his wife Emily to have to worry about.
