Support Shawn's Battle Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Chris Spicer. I'm the one on the left in the headlock. My youngest brother Nick is the one on the right. The person in the middle is our older brother Shawn who turned 49 earlier this year. Over the past few months Shawn had been dealing with some severe pains in his abdominal area. Through many weeks of testing and procedures it has been determined that he has a rare form of stage 4, uncurable cancer. This has been a shock to us all as we work through this. He is starting aggressive chemotherapy this week to try and slow down the cancer. We are all hoping his body responds well to these treatments, we won't be sure for several weeks. Shawn is hard working and was working as a full-time electrician for the past several years. Unfortunately, with his diagnosis he is unable to work going forward and has no income. We have started the process to get him going on social security disability and Medicaid. However, we are told this process takes months even when rushed. What we are hoping to do is raise enough funds to help Shawn cover not only the medical expenses but his housing, utility, and day to day expenses. We lost our father to cancer in 2011 at just the age of 64. Having your brother at just the age of 49 get diagnosed with terminal cancer has been difficult. My hope is he can find some enjoyment in the time he has left doing things he loves with his son Jake, best mate and dog Kodak, surrounded by his good friends and family.
