Support Sheila and Nikki After Mark's Tragic Loss
Donation protected
I’m writing this on behalf of the Ray family who need a shoulder to lean on. Mark lost his life in a devastating semi wreck while doing what he loved, hauling cattle. If you knew Mark, you likely knew his love for Jesus and playing praise music. Mark taught himself to play guitar and he could listen to a song and turn around and play it perfectly without any sheet music. When I was young, I recall Mark & Sheila teaching me about Jesus and his love for me. Then they led me in the sinners prayer word for word without needing to look it up. Although we’re second cousins, they have treated me like their own daughter and have never blinked an eye if I called them for anything. The loss of Mark in such tragic circumstances is heartbreaking for Sheila, his wife of 35 years, and their daughter Nikki. For the last couple years the Ray’s have been brought to their knees fighting Sheila’s battle with Cancer, and it’s a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of community support during difficult times. Unfortunately, Mark didn’t have life insurance to offset some of these unexpected expenses. We all know Sheila is not one to ask for help and she definitely isn’t one to shy away from hard work, but she does have an uphill battle to climb. As family and friends who feel like family, I would love nothing more than to come together to alleviate her of stress and allow Sheila and Nikki both time to grieve. Whether this support be through donations to help with funeral and medical expenses or a simple prayer, anything will be appreciated. Thank you for the outpouring of texts, calls, food, and family visits.
