Support Shelly's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Arianna Branning. My step brother, Orlando Abreu, and I are asking for help to support my step mother and his mother, Michelle Gomes. She was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer and was unfortunately informed that her only form of treatment was chemotherapy. Our hearts are heavy during this time, and knowing what kind of person she is makes this incredibly more difficult. If you're lucky enough to know Shelly, you would know that she is the kind of person that will drop everything to help somebody. She's the woman who raised her son by herself while putting herself through nursing school and has since become arguably one of the most intelligent, caring, and hard working nurses most people have ever met. She is the woman who gained children that weren't biologically hers and loves them as if they are anyways. And the woman who loves her grandchildren with every fiber of her being and takes them any chance she gets, even if she's running on zero sleep after working an overnight. She loves her family fiercely and is loved in return.

Currently, she has started chemotherapy and as of this week, will be out of work for at least 6 months. Despite having insurance, they are arguing covering the costs of treatments, and as most can expect it isn't a small price. This next chapter of her life will be a long process and will not be easy for her and all of her loved ones. We are writing this in hopes that people can help in any way they can so we can try to alleviate some of the stress of the finances in regards to her treatments and bills during this time.
