Support Sheryl and Zo'i's Dream of GTFO of Iowa!

Our time in Iowa has been coming to a close for a while now, and we have hit some speedbumps with our process for moving. We are planning to move back to Texas, near Austin, and our finances have taken some hits; we need help getting out of Iowa ASAP.

One of us has lost their job, and has been doing odd jobs on the side to try to keep up as best we can, and the other of us has been working, but unable to save much, as we have had numerous bills and last minute spendings to cover.

We have had a series of, not quite emergencies, but urgencies, that have needed to be handled.

We are a mother and daughter, with three cats, and we have spent the last year in Des Moines, Iowa, aiming to get back on our feet after several trip-ups from the last couple of years.

Iowa has not been a fun time, and it has been incredibly difficult socially, economically and environmentally.

Zo'i is a photographer and illustrator, who has struggled with freelance work up here, but has many more opportunities in the Austin area, and has been trying to get her business up and running.

I, myself, (Sheryl), am currently working as a security officer, and have significant health issues, making some work quite difficult... I have severe chronic pain from fibromyalgia and spending another winter here could be detrimental to my health. The environment here is too hard on my body, and has taken a serious toll on me.

We know it's a lot to ask, but we need help with approximately $10,000 -- which will be broken into:

Moving cost, adding a tow-package to our van, renting a trailer to move our belongings, gas, and move in/application fees for an apartment (first/last month rent and deposit), and left over will go toward future rent, utilities and likely some groceries while we gain employment and catch up.

We also have one cat who needs to be spayed, and a senior cat due for a check up soon, so we hope that we will be on track by that point, but potentially would use any more finances we receive to get them their vet care.

Rent will be between $12-1600 (one month)[approx. $2500(min) to move in] and utilities would most likely range from $60-275 (plus admin/app fees)

Tow package will be $550

Trailer: $6-800

Gas: ~$400

Possible hotel room: $70-150 (plus any temp deposits)

This is our current potential breakdown, though we may be underestimating. So, any help is much appreciated!! Thank you in advanced! <3
