Help Sheryl Clark’s Family with Cremation and Hospital costs

Hi, my name is Nicole Clark and my family and I are fundraising for my mom, Sheryl Clark. My mom was recently diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis the beginning of this year and despite the heartbreaking diagnosis, her doctors estimated she would have years left with us.

Unfortunately, due to unknown causes, my mom has declined rapidly. She has been hospitalized since May 13th, and has recently been moved to a transplant hospital in Los Angeles, with the hopes that she will be accepted as a transplant candidate. We are in the process of having her evaluated for this, and trying to stay strong for her during this time. She is currently intubated and being closely monitored by the amazing doctors and nurses at her hospital. We have a very long road ahead of us, whether she is accepted into the transplant program or not. We are also in the process in trying to get her insurance, as our family’s current insurance through Costco will end shortly due to her not being able to work any longer.

As some of you may know, my mom absolutely loves her life. She loves her job at Costco, and everyone she comes in contact with. She is an amazing person and is always willing to help and has spent a huge part of her life giving back by fostering homeless animals and building sets/volunteering for different activities at church.

Our family is finding ourselves torn between wanting desperately to be by her side 24/7, and still having financial responsibilities to take care of. We spent what we had on a hotel to stay with her the first few nights, but finances have quickly caught up with us. My dad is working out of town constantly to try and make up for my mom’s lost income, while my sister and I are making day trips (2 hour drive each way) as often as we can so she won’t be alone. We are desperately trying to stay afloat. The funds will be used to help supplement for the lost income of my mom not working and her hospital bills.
