Support Shirley Perez after House Fire at 320 Leonidas

Donation protected
Living in this house for 30 years, I drove up today and my heart sank as I saw the firefighters putting out flames at 320 Leonidas, San Antonio, Texas. It wasn’t just a house, it was my home, where I raised my four kids, shared memories with my grandkids, and my birds and turtles. Unfortunately my birds, Kiki (double yellow head year old parrot) and my love birds did not survive. My daughter asked me to help her this morning with my grandsons, and when I went home my house was burning, and the fire started in my room presumed to be faulty electrical. The firefighters believe that if I had been home, I would not have made it out of the house in time. Although I’ve lost so much, I have so much to be thankful for and thank God for my blessings, the firefighters were also able to rescue my two turtles. I had just got back from vacation with my daughter yesterday so fortunately I do have six pairs of clothes that was in my suitcase and six pairs of shoes as well as my birth certificate and important documents. I’m thankful for my loved ones who have checked on me during this time. Thank you for all of your help, words cannot express how appreciative I am. https://www.kens5.com/article/news/local/fire-kills-parakeets-east-san-antonio/273-f6380227-48e7-4ed0-8840-4fad28b7e4d5#
