Support Shirley's Battle Against Thyroid Cancer

Hi, my name is Karen and I'm fundraising for My sister.

My sister Shirley, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this year. They caught it early but when they went in to remove it, they saw it had started spreading. A few weeks after her surgery, her labs showed that she still had cancer cells in her body, so she will need radiation. In that same week she found out she still had cancer, she also got laid off from her job and lost her medical insurance. She needs to do radiation therapy to try and get rid of the cancer cells left in her body.

Before losing her job, she worked as an outreach worker and helped migrant communities and migrant farm workers find help and medical care in the community.She has a husband who is a veteran and he is now their only source of income. She also has a little boy who means the world to her. She is always helping people and has a hard time asking for help, even if she really really needs it. We just want to help her as much as we can and we all live far away from her. We are asking for donations to help her and her family during this difficult time in their lives. Any contribution helps, even if just a share on social media.
