Our dear friend Shyam, a loving father, devoted husband, and hardworking chef, is currently fighting for his life in the ICU at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center – Heart Hospital of Austin.

Just days ago, after dropping his 8-year-old daughter at school, Shyam returned home feeling unwell. Trusting his instincts, he rushed to the emergency room — a decision that may have saved his life. Doctors confirmed he was having a severe heart attack caused by multiple blockages in his arteries. He was immediately taken into surgery, where stents were placed to restore blood flow. However, the most critical blockage — in his main artery — still needs another urgent surgery in the coming days.

Shyam is now in the ICU, closely monitored, and preparing for his second life-saving operation.

The total estimated cost for his treatment and hospital stay is a devastating $250,000 — far beyond what his working family can bear alone.

Shyam is the heart and soul of his family. He works tirelessly in a local food truck as a chef, always smiling, always putting others first. His wife continues to work while caring for their young daughter, trying to hold things together as they face this unimaginable challenge.
