Hello, I am posting this for my sister and her family. As a beloved mother to an amazing 2 year old daughter and now beautiful pre-term twin boys, wife, sister, aunt, daughter and so much more; and we are asking for help.

On August 23rd she went into unexpected labor with her twin boys. She ended up having an emergency cesarean and the twin boys were born at 28 weeks and are currently in the NICU. Both have received surgical interventions on their bowels and are doing great thus far. She was discharged home on August 26th. She experienced increased swelling and difficulty with vision and headaches. August 31st she was rushed to the hospital via ambulance for hemorrhaging while losing consciousness and a low hemoglobin requiring 3 transfusions throughout the weekend. Her blood pressure became critical and diagnosed with postpartum hypertension; assessed and cleared for a DNC. Had complaints of breathing issues and a CT of her chest with a lump or bubble noted but did not look concerning at the time. She became stable and discharged Monday 9/2 with the thought that her uterus was overworking to shrink after having the boys but had lost 2 liters of blood over the course of her stay. Come Wednesday 9/4 Siah began hemorrhaging again and rushed back to the hospital for assessment. She began to have brain fog and disorientation. Another ultrasound completed to confirm a DNC wasn't necessary; cleared. She was diagnosed with officially postpartum eclampsia. Her body was no longer able to clot to stop the bleeding on her own; she received another transfusion and cryo to attempt to regenerate her clotting factors and bleeding had slowed and looked to be getting under control. Come Thursday 9/5 bleeding started again and the team decided to take her in for emergency exploratory surgery to assess her uterus and if it needed to be removed. They decided to implant a balloon to deflate over time in an attempt to stop the bleeding without removing her uterus. It was successful in stopping the bleeding. The following day 9/6 she began complaining of having a difficult time breathing and was placed on 2L of O2, scans were completed and revealed that her lungs had been filled with blood clots. Heparin was started in hopes that her uterus did not start bleeding again, clots were later discovered in her left arm and right leg. Pneumonia was diagnosed and treatment started. 9/8 a CT scan of her head showed a lesion and swelling in the brain, fluid in her heart with a chest CT with a diagnosis of Acute systolic heart failure. 9/9 she was diagnosed with a 2.5 centimeter mass via MRI on her occipital lobe of her brain after complaints of a light constant headache, a mass was found in her right upper lobe within the lungs, she began steroids to attempt to bring down the swelling and began anti-seizure medications. She had an abdominal CT to assess for any masses where 2 small masses were found on her liver. Lung cancer is suspected to have spread to her brain and liver at this time. A biopsy was completed on 9/11 while we anticipate the results for a treatment plan and anticipate a transfer to Ann Arbor for a fighting chance.

Michael, her husband has been by her and the twins side day in and day out to see to her health which has restricted his ability to work for an unforeseeable time. Anything you can donate will be most appreciated and anything will help beyond measure. Updates will be posted as we learn more for Siah's journey.
