Support Silvia Lasko Perez's Fight for Life

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out today on behalf of my dear friend Silvia Lasko Perez who is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. Last year she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and after all the necessary treatment the cancer was in remission. She was feeling her best self and excited with the news of being a grandma for the first time this coming May 2025.

Recently due to a cough that would not go away, she was rushed to the hospital from her doctor’s office. There she received the terrible news that no one wanted to hear. She was told she now has an aggressive lung cancer which has spread to her brain, among other parts of her body.

While Silvia was in the hospital in LA, the medical team gave her approximately 3 weeks to live if she stopped treatments. Silvia is a fighter and looking forward to meeting her grandchild. While she is fighting hard to get through this difficult time, the financial burden of medical treatments and hospitalization has become a greater burden. Despite health insurance and her family savings, the costs of her treatments are overwhelming.

Silvia is only 50 yrs old; she has a loving husband, Carlos and 3 wonderful grown children Keith, Tyler, and Kiana; they are the highlight of her life, her daughter Kiana is expecting her first baby and living in Norway, she is trying to make arrangements to be with her mother.
