Support Sisterhood: Help Fund The Girlhood Guild
Donation protected
The Girlhood Guild is a social collective based in Scotland, dedicated to establishing a network of women and non-binary folk who support, learn from, and enjoy each other's company, re-centring girlhood in their lives.
Through our monthly events we create a space for women and nb folk to try new things without breaking the bank. Things like arts and crafts, fitness, spirituality, social justice work, culinary arts, publishing, etc. For all ages and backgrounds looking to make connections and re-empower and reclaim the experience of Girlhood.
Founders Ale & Arantza met almost a decade ago. At the beginning of 2024, we spent a lot of time talking about 3 things:
It’s challenging for adults with busy lives to find new communities and friends.
A lot of women and non-binary centred spaces focus on one aspect of our identities. Things like what we do for work, where we went to university, the sport we play. And while those spaces are brilliant, they can be expensive, and very specialised.
The language of ‘Girlhood’ is being reclaimed all over the world by women and nb folk who feel like they were made to grow up too quickly and too completely; and have realised their most joyful, curious, unapologetic selves belong to them.
We decided it we would address all this, and created The Girlhood Guild. Currently this project is completely funded by us.
We would love to have your support helping The Girlhood Guild fulfil its mission. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can give.
How the funds raised will be used: £1,000 will be used to help cover the cost of our monthly events, which are free to those who attend. This includes buying resources for workshops, booking venues, and paying our knowledge-session leads for their work.
