Support Sky and her family after heartbreaking prognosis

Sky’s Story

January last year, whilst heavily pregnant with her second child, my 24 year old sister Sky found a lump on her breast. Because of being pregnant at the time of finding this she was unsure if it was down to hormones linked to pregnancy. But upon getting it checked when her baby was just 8 weeks old, she was devastatingly diagnosed with breast cancer.

She bravely started 8 rounds of chemotherapy on a two week regime which finished on September 2023. She then went on to have a mastectomy and reconstruction in October 2023.

Later on in the year Sky experienced a crawling sensation in her back and after a requested CT scan, this ended up showing a mark on her liver. Following on from this she was then sent for an MRI scan and it revealed numerous scattered lesions in the liver.

This has left Sky with the diagnosis of ‘treatable but incurable’ and heartbreakingly has been given a prognosis of 2-3 years.

In addition to the physical impact, cancer has created emotional and financial challenges for both Sky and her loved ones. Dealing with the emotional distress that comes with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. Sky has researched high and low on all of the possible treatments. And she is now looking to supplement her conventional treatments with natural treatments. It has been seen that people can attain better outcomes through radical diet change, medicinal mushrooms, cannabis oil, various supplements and detoxification agents. In addition to this there are also other options of treatment abroad.

As you can imagine this all costs a fair bit. But I have promised my sister I will do all I can to help. She needs to watch her two beautiful children grow up and her children need their mum to try everything she can to get better.
