Support Skylar in Laying her father E. Lester King to Rest

My Name is Taunya Wheeler I am starting this GoFundMe for my Daughter Skylar King to help with her fathers cremation costs.

Skylar was notified on June 13th, 2024, that her father, Eugene Lester King passed away on June 7th while he was in Yakima WA.

A little backstory…Skylar was trying to repair her estranged relationship with her father, who had been in an out of her life the last 24 years. Her father had just been released from Prison on the May 22nd and was in a halfway house in Tukwila Washington.

From what Skylar has been told a friend of Eugene's was going to pay for his Cremation but has now backed out with no explanation. Skylar is on state assistance working to get her GED and studying to be a CNA. After his family helping, the remainder cost of cremation is $1300, which she just doesn’t have at this time. Ultimately Skylar just wants to put her father to rest and get the cremation paid for, so she can go collect his ashes and spread them with her sister Destanie.

While her Father was absent for most of her and her sister’s lives and losing her sister in 2023…it fell on Skylar as his next of Kin to take care for this. Eugene was irresponsible in his life and his daughter’s life, but Skylar needs help to get this done.

Please consider Donating to get her father laid to rest. It has now been almost a month since passing and he is still at the Funeral home. The money will go to his cremation and then gas to travel from Beaverton OR to Yakima and then Tukwila to get him and his belongings.
