Support Skylar Johnson's Family After Tragedy

In another senseless act of gun violence, 23-year-old father Skylar Johnson was shot and killed outside his apartment complex when he went out at 3 in the morning to tell someone that they were being too loud right outside of his sleeping daughter's ground floor window.

Shots rang out, and his girlfriend jumped out of bed, ran outside, and found the father of her child lying on the ground with multiple wounds. Medics and police were called by other neighbors, who also heard the shots and then her screams for help. I'm asking anyone who is tired of this senseless gun violence that has the means to help Skylar's family with his end-of-life costs to please help. Any money left after the funeral costs will go to Skylar's girlfriend, Journey, and their baby daughter Sicily, who was born in June of this year and will never really know her father.

Along with Journey and daughter Sicily, Skylar leaves behind the grandmother who raised him and his two brothers. He also leaves behind a sister, his father, aunts and uncles, a cousin and many friends. There are also people like me who knew him for some time and were happy to see that he was becoming a responsible young man after some very trying times and finding some of the happiness in life that we all seek.
