Support Skylar's Recovery Journey

On Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, Skylar broke through a fence and severely lacerated her leg with many other wounds all over her. Her worst leg was cut down to the bone, severing her extensor tendon, and she needs intensive care. She also has a drain currently in another wound. Skylar has been with me since I was 16, and is the sweetest mare you will ever meet.

Skylar is currently hospitalized for the next two weeks to help her heal, and then we will take x-rays to determine if some of her bone has died and needs to be removed. If she does need this surgery, her bill will be up to $5000.

I am currently getting ready to head to vet school in Grenada this January, so finances are extremely tight at this time. Anything you are able to donate is appreciated and will help make sure that Skylar makes a complete recovery. Thank you!
