Support Skylyn’s Open Heart Surgery

First I want to thank you for coming by to take a look at my GoFundMe. My name is skylyn I am 5 months old , and I was born with CHD. Congenital heart disease is an abnormality in the heart that’s develops before birth. CHD is one of the most common types of birth defects. There are many different heart defects I am diagnosed with AVCD. Atrioventricular Canal Defect is when the valves and muscle walls that separates the hearts chambers do not form correctly while baby is in the womb. This creates one large valve between the atrium and ventricles instead of the normal two. The holes in the heart and the incorrectly formed valves allow blood to mix inside the heart. This results into too much blood going to the lungs making the heart have to work harder, the extra effort can weaken the heart muscles and cause the heart to enlarge. If left untreated AVCD can lead to lung disease and serious infections in the heart. As a result of this matter I will have to undergo open heart surgery. This surgery will take roughly 8-9 hours, after surgery I am expected to go to the cardiac intensive care unit where I will be watched close by medical staff. Once discharged from CICU I will recuperate on another hospital unit until I am well enough to go home . After open heart surgery I will need PT and OT and other special equipment. There will be a long road to recovery for that reason I am trying to raise money to support my Mother and Sister on this journey as my mom hasn’t been unable to work due to providing all around the clock care for me. I usually am pretty private with personal matters, however as hard as it was to write this and open up about my situation The Bible reminds me that asking others is not only a good thing to do, but it is also something that pleases God , Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
