Support Smiley Riley's Fight Against Cancer

Smiley Riley was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma for the first time in 2019 when he was just 5 years old. It is with a heavy heart we share, the cancer has returned. He kicked cancer's butt and we believe he can do it again! We ask for continued prayer for the entire family during this difficult time and through their long journey ahead.
A message from Smiley Riley's mama Ashley:
My heart is heavy. My heart is confused. My heart is devastated. It is with a broken heart that I share my precious Smiley Riley’s Neuroblastoma has returned.

There was always a chance the cancer could return and now it has. They found the tumor in/on his spine near the base of his brain. There are other lymph nodes in his neck area that have the disease as well. The doctors wanted to start treatment immediately for the concern of the tumor growing anymore.

As I watched them hang the bag of chemo last night, I cried. As I listened to my 10-year-old ask if he was going to die, I cried. As I looked at my buddy laying there with his sick body, I cried.

We fought like hell the first time and we will fight again. Today, will be a big day. They will do the MIBG scan to make sure they haven’t missed any other cancerous spots. They will do a bone marrow biopsy to make sure it hasn’t made it to his bone marrow. They will insert a central line so they can do more harsh therapies. They will get a Neurosurgeon or an ENT surgeon to try to get a piece of the tumor. Dr. Meany will figure out Riley’s plan of action to get rid of this freaking cancer again.

I ask for prayers as we fight the Neuroblastoma again. This is another valley we walk through and I know we aren’t alone. I pray to God that He gives us strength, wisdom, and hope as we navigate through this storm.
