Note to my sister Maryrose “ Ro” yesterday as she and her family, Mark, Andrew, and Sawyer, lost their world to the rage of nature unleashed on the California landscape.

Hi Ro, good morning. I'm thinking and feeling quite strongly for you this morning. Frankly, I'm devastated as I recall all the glorious times we had in your home, the incredible story of your art and craft, and your generosity of spirit. I'm here for you, Ro, grateful that you and your crew are safe. There will always be an opportunity for new art, new planting, and fellowship. I'm guessing, hoping that we have a few decades left to improve on the last few. Big hug to you this morning. Xo, Thom

You might imagine that there was little warning even less time to gather personal effects or mementos . Lucky Mark (Papa Pickett to those in the know) was packed for a business trip to Texas I hear . Hence, he gets the best dressed award this week.
